Triz Ingredients/Advice

Contains: 533 mg Tromehamine (Tris) USP, 141 mg Edetate Disodium Dihydrate (EDTA) USP, buffered to pH 8 with Tromehamine HCL (after reconstituting with 112 ml distilled water).

  1. How do I sterilize it? Do I sterilize the bottle itself, or do I need to remove the powder and place it in a different container?
AFTER reconstituting wait about 1-3 hours to solubilize then place in a container that will not melt (glass) and autoclave at 121 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes.

  2. If used for chronic bacterial cystitis, does it need to be infused daily or as a one-time treatment with antibiotics given as usual?
There is a paper on that. I would use it daily for a while. IN ears it is 2-3 times daily. Better to check with an internist on the bladder or VIN or NOAH.

  3. For dogs with chronic allergic/bacterial otitis with hyperplasia, I have been using DermaPet Ear Cleanser 4 oz. with lOcc Synotic added for long-term usage after the infection is resolved. Is SynOtic safe to mix with the Tris-EDTA?
DMSO is, steroid is. What is the vehicle. If it is acidic then no. Better to make your own with medical grade DMSO and dex phosphate.
Obviously, I don't like using chronic topical corticosteroids, but some of these Cockers whose owner's finances are limited would have ear canals like cauliflower without some sort of cortisone. Is there a better alternative to topical Synotic? See above

Good luck and PLEASE spread the word to your colleagues.
