BACTERICIDAL ACTIVITY OF ANTISEPTICS AGAINST MRSA
The below study shows that 4% Chlorhexidene alone doesn't inhibit MRSA. However, TrizCHLOR 4, DermaPet’s 4% Chlorhexidene and TrizEDTA product, did treat MRSA in a case study performed by Dr. Sue Patterson (Rutland House, UK). In this study, an atopic dog with severe secondary pyoderma isolated on tissue culture as MRSA was solely treated with TrizCHLOR 4 Shampoo daily for 3 weeks. There was significant
improvement after 3 weeks with no evidence of MRSA infection on the skin.
