DenTees Show Substantial Increase In Market Share

DENTEES has shown a substantial increase in market share, of late. We suspect this, in part, may be due to all the press Greenies is receiving. In fact, JAN BELLOWS delivered us the good news that at least one other dental colleague, who is not known to endorse products, has written on the internet that he has switched his dogs to DenTees. DENTEES are a softer, gentler, more digestible version with acetic acid, HMP for the teeth and gum health, and odofactants for the breath. The term odofactant, coined by PETER EMILY, refers to the addition of grapefruit seed extract to neutralize stomach odors thus helping bad breath. DenTees were made under the careful watch of PETER EMILY and BOB WIGGS.

MALACETIC Otic AP is a gentler version of MalAcetic Otic. In those rare cases where a pet may react you can now try MalAcetic AP and/or back off from all topicals, and/or try a corticosteroid systemically first and/or dilute the MalAcetic Otic.

TrizEDTA and TrizEDTA Plus are truly Aqueous products with virtually no propylene glycol or any other surfactants or preservatives. These are stable (3 year shelf life) and effective products with decades of R&D proving their efficacy. See our discussion with WOOLEY in the April 06 newsletter.

Yada, Yada

AAHA, Long Beach

Two myths were dispelled. One, It does rain in southern California…hard! Two, it is not always warm. Observed were several people, many from CANADA and cold places like Colorado, shopping for warm clothing. One observation was that there appeared to be a large Canadian group who hope warmer weather will grace them next year in DENVER!

JACK WHITE, ROB CONN, our new West Coast (Southern region) rep and YT worked this show. STACEY MELMAN visited from her Santa Monica digs where she is now studying to be an RD. Past president MICKY WILLENS and wife, EMILY, visited. The PetCareTV dinner was attended by JEFF WERBER, BERNIE KOUMA, GARY LANDSBERG, BERNADINE CRUZ and PHIL COHEN although I could not attend due to a previous commitment to JACK WHITE and ROB CONN. The host hotel, Westin, did not have HBO to watch “The Sopranos.” I’m not saying how much of a fan I am but I did ask Gary Landsberg who lent me his key to his room at the Renaissance which had HBO while he attended the dinner meeting.

Pet Care TV is now an AAHA Preferred Provider. AAHA has chosen to make Pet Care TV’s monthly educational DVD available as a member benefit. Already viewed by over 4 million, this will add all of the 3,000 plus AAHA member hospitals.

Dr. MARTY BECKER was on GOOD MORNING AMERICA TV on March 17 talking about people and pet allergies. He mentioned it is most important to frequently bathe a pet in a hypoallergenic shampoo and showed DermaPet’s DERMALYTE as an example. This will remove the accumulated dander, hair, saliva, urine and other antigens that may accumulate on the pet. He also mentioned the use of Wet Wipes and showed the MALACETIC WET WIPE to use for people on the run.

Derm Meeting in PALM SPRINGS

Those who attend should know that it can drop into the high 50’s at night and be around mid 80’s during the day. For those who like to gamble, there is an upscale casino (live music, lots of people, cheap booze) about 2 blocks away. There are several casinos; Agua Caliente is about 10 minutes away and also has craps using cards as opposed to dice. For those who like to hike there are the INDIAN CANYONS about 10 minutes away and the JOSHUA TREE STATE PARK about 45-60 minutes where it is often about 10 degrees cooler. Same for the shopping at the outlets at Cabazon, which are known to many as one of the top ten places to shop in the US. Thursday evening starting about 5 PM in downtown Palm Springs, walking distance from the hotel, the locals come out to a street fair filled with local art, produce, jewelry, food an music. Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indian Wells and the many desert towns are a Mecca of healthy entertainment in a little valley away from big city living where people live and vacation in a playland setting. This meeting is in the shoulder season, so prices are down while the weather should be perfect.
