LimePlus Most Effective

LIME PLUS dip has 29% more lime sulfur than the new LymDip. The new LymDip is a much weaker formula that has not survived the test of time (neither for efficacy or stability). Despite their citing literature, there is not one refereed publication supporting the use of this substantially diluted product. There also is reason to believe that fragrances used in this product (the addition of which required the dilution from a 97.8% like LimePlus to 76.9% in LymDip) will cause contact irritation/dermatitis.

The LimePlus Dip formula, like all DermaPet products, offers the desired ingredient, undiluted lime sulfur, packaged at an FDA inspected facility under strict cGMP regulations.

Since Lime Plus Dip contains 98% lime sulfur and the "new" LymDip only 76.9%, several questions beg asking:

1) What exactly has been substituted for the effective ingredient?
2) Could the missing 21% be fragrance or alcohol or some unknown heretofore non-functional (except for marketing) excipient?
3) What function could these substitute ingredients possess?
4) Will testimonials of efficacy from "allied experts" convince vets that DECADES of previously refereed papers were wrong about the effective concentration?
5) Will the "new product" be marketed using the same name, not stressing to vet customers the significant change in concentration?

AAVD meeting Kauai

JACK and YT "worked" this one. This was one laid back meeting..except for the partying. After electing to grab non-banquet aka FREE food, the proprietor, upon learning I was with the vetderm group asked "who are you guys?" as in why all the great parties with bands and free booze? EVERY night of the conference, the group was entertained lavishly.

LOU GOTTHELF and YT renewed the Mediocrity Cup, which probably should be downgraded as it misrepresents how truly bad we played, although it was windy and we enjoyed every minute. DREW MILLER joined us. CHERYL SKOLNICK limped around quite gracefully (including on the dance floor) despite only bringing 2 ½ (instead of her normal 5 pairs of) shoes.

REBECCA BASSETT won the raffle from the party on the 2nd night. Yes, there were also PRIZES! KAREN CAMPBELL and CAROL FOIL were seen in the conference rooms. At one of the events, ROD ROSYCHUK and JIMMY NOXON listened to MARILYN STIFF, this years ACVIM President tell us that our group is able to have these kinds of parties due to our manageable size. VIN Founder, PAUL PION, loosened up his purse strings and sent magician NATE LISSANT to run a much utilized computer room.

YASUYO YAMAZAKI showed what a good sport she is after reading her name still spelled wrong in her contributed chapter despite more than 5 printings of my Skin Diseases of Dogs and Cats. PETER IHRKE was once again the "perfect gentleman."CLAUDIA NETT, DIANE LEWIS and SANDY MERCHANT all visited.

WCVD Hong Kong President TOSHI IWASAKI was teased out of wearing his fashionable "happy cat" tie to the very informal evening events. CHARLES CHEN also was seen promoting the ASIAN DERMATOLOGY group as well as the WCVD meeting. In private conversation, a definition of the best vet was offered as "the vet who makes the right diagnosis the most often using the least tests." We closed the show with a meal featuring excellent wine with a small group of wine enthusiasts.

CVC Baltimore

Any meeting in crab town is going to draw vets. JACK and I made it but didn't know what time zone we were in. CHUCK MICHAELS worked the booth. TATE ALLEN (Charlotte NC) and DANNY NEGOLA (Rockville, MD) visited. GLEN TAYLOR worked the Medrx booth.

MalAcetic HC Available In 8 Ounce Size

MalAcetic HC is also available now in an 8 ounce size (as well as the 2 ounce size). Ask your TM or see a 4 color Technical Bulletin on this product.

TECHNICAL BULLETINS are at our web site.

MalAcetic HC Wipes are particularly useful to treat skin fold problems, especially in inflamed areas. The most common of these include breed predispositions such as bulldogs, most spaniels, Bassett's, Shar pei as well as vulvar, facial, eye, chin, lip and tail folds. Cats with eosinophilic granuloma complex, particularly the eosinophilic ulcer and dogs with "hot spots" aka 'pyotraumatic dermatitis' do well on these since they have both antimicrobial as well as anti-inflammatory effects.
