There are thousands of variations to use DermaPet products. Preferences for listed problems will be listed first. Variations in response will occur in different pets, the same pet with repeated usage and by different practitioners.
Frequent bathing CS followed by OC. A pet that has inhalant allergies should be bathed as often as possible to remove the source of the allergic reaction.
Dry Bath/Skin Folds/Tear Stains/Pododermantitis/ Every cocker or dog with skin folds/ wipe with MW.
Itching OS followed by OC. Any animal that has a problem which includes itching can precede and/or follow topical therapy with an oatmeal-based product. One could also use CS then OC. One could prime with OS or finish with OC using any shampoo.
Seborrhea Sicca (Dry scaly) Treatment is up to the pet. When it gets dry and scaly it should be repeated. In some cases, odor is the guide. Prevention can be every 5-10 days. SS is designed for the dry scaly case.
Non-pruritic, dry scaly	Pruritic, dry scaly
mild cases: CS, rinse, followed by MS then by MC or OC severely dry, non-pruritic: CS, rinse, followed by SS, rinse followed by OC or MC/MW.	mildly dry, pruritic: OS, rinse, followed by MS followed by MC or OS, rinse, MS, OC severely dry, pruritic: OS, rinse, followed by Seborrheic Shampoo (SS) followed by OC also: OS, MS, OC or SS, MS. OC or CS, SS, MC or CS, MS, OC very pruritic mildly dry:OS, rinse, followed MS, then OC very pruritic, very dry: OS, rinse, SS, then OC
Seborrhea Oleosa Treatment is up to the pet. When it gets oily it should be repeated. In some cases, odor is the guide. Prevention can be every 5-10 days. In cases where shampooing the pet is impossible and for thorough treatment it is recommended to use the MalAcetic Conditioner or MalAcetic wet wipes as often as daily. BPP is designed for the very oily pet.
Non-pruritic, oily	Pruritic, oily
mild: CS, MS then MC. Pre MS it was CS, BPP then MC or MW severe: MS, BPP then, MC or MW (MS first affords better sudsing of the BPP)	mild oily, pruritic: OS, MS, then MC or MW severe oily, pruritic: OS, MS, BPP, MC or OC very pruritic, mildly oily: OS, MS, then OC daily use MC/MW very pruritic, very oily: OS, MS, BPP. OC daily use MC/MW
Hot Spot (see article) (clip it with a #40 blade then:) MS full body, rinse, MC. Spray spot daily with MC or use MW.
Pyoderma Same as Seborrhea Oleosa and Sicca. Treatment can be up to daily. Prevention can be every 5-10 days. In cases where shampooing the pet is impractical and/or for thorough treatment it is recommended to use the MalAcetic Conditioner as often as daily. Note: MW for local lesions can be effective. For focal intertrigo lesions between toes, on neck, ears, TEAR STAINS, lips and anal areas - wipe with MW daily.
Malassezia /diffuse/generalized MS, rinse, MS follow with MC. Skin foci MW daily. Larger haired areas spray MC Daily if oily: See Seborrhea Oleosa. In cases where shampooing the pet is impractical and/or for thorough treatment it is recommended to use the MalAcetic Conditioner as often as daily. The most common reason for failure is not using antibiotics for concurrent pyoderma
Ringworm Same as Malassezia.
